"ACTORS TRAINING GROUND WORKSHOPS" AVAILABILITY

Acting workshops with Actors Training Ground will resume in Fall 2010.

Acting Workshop 1: Beginners - Learn the basic tools that every actor should know: Given Circumstances, Intention, Obstacle, Tactic and more. This class is perfect for the beginning actor and will guide you in the right direction.

Acting Workshop 2: Beginners 2 - Learn to take control of your character with status, relationship and character building exercises. A more in-depth look at the acting tools needed to convey believability on stage.

Acting Workshop 3: Intermediate - If you are an experienced actor, hone in on your acting skills with this class focusing on exercises using the Stanislavski "Method" including. emotional recall and sense memory.

Acting Workshop 4: Intermediate 2 - The most advanced of all basic acting workshops. Building on emotional recall and sense memory this session focuses on organic acting delving deeper into the craft of acting using "private moments" and scene work.

Acting Workshop 5: Advanced, Monologues - Advanced actors will focus on monologues in their repertoire as well as learn new ones to challenge them and push their limits. Must be familiar with the methods described in the previous workshops.

Acting Workshop 6: Advanced, Scene Work - For the actors who want to develop their acting skills working with other actors, this workshop focuses on two-person scene work. Must be familiar with the methods described in the previous workshops.

About Tanner Lagasca:

Tanner has been involved with theatre for over 25 years. He started his theatrical education at P.C.P.A. in California. He has received his M.F.A. from the Actors Studio Drama School and his B.F.A. from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He has studied under Ellen Barkin, Ron Leibman, Arthur Storch and Elizabeth Kemp. He has performed in Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area. He has worked professionally with touring children’s theatre for 5 years traveling all over the U.S. He is currently working in South Korea at English Village where he designed a theatre training program for adults.
